Hall-Pass Punch Card:

I do understand that we are all human and sometimes we forget things! -For this reason, every student will be given a Hall-Pass Punch Card every quarter. Each punch card contains 5 punches that students may use to leave the classroom to return to their locker, visit the water fountain, use the restroom, etc. At the end of the each quarter, if any punches are unused, students may turn this in for extra credit points. (up to a total of 10 points, each unused punch equals 2 points)

Tardies:

Students need to be in their seats when the bell rings otherwise a tardy will be issued. Students will receive an after school detention for their third tardy in the quarter. All subsequent tardies will result in an after school detention.

Student Absences:

If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to make up for the time you missed.  When you arrive back to school, check the “ABSENT FOLDER” for any handouts used in class, ask other students for information to complete your notes, etc.

  • Students will have two days to make up assignments for each day of their excused absence.

  • If you have a scheduled absence, (ex: appointments, vacations) please let me know. I will do my best to provide assignments before they leave.

  • If a student is absent the day of a test or quiz, they will take the assessment on the day they return.

Materials:

Please come to class prepared! Students are required to have their materials each and every class. Reoccurring issues will result in disciplinary actions. Materials include:

  • Math textbook

  • Pencils

  • Grading utensil (colored pen)

  • Notebook

  • Math folder or binder (used for math class only!)

  • Graph Paper

  • Ruler/Straightedge

  • Dry Erase Markers (students will work independently on white boards)

  • Scientific Calculator (Students will not be allowed to use graphing calculators. Calculators are only allowed for certain units.)

  • If possible, tissues or hand sanitizer to donate to our classroom

Academic Dishonesty:

Academic dishonesty is taken very seriously in the world of education. Copying work (plagiarism) or cheating will result in an automatic zero for all students involved, no exceptions.

Discipline:

Inappropriate behaviors will NOT be tolerated in the classroom. I try my best to create a safe and welcoming environment for all students. Verbal warnings will be given first then contact with parents if behavior(s) do not stop. Disciplinary actions will be given by the office when necessary.
