MEET THE TEACHER!

Hi there! My name is Kelly Hughes and I am going to be your 8th grade math teacher! Teaching math is a true passion of mine and I'm fortunate enough to share that with you.

In a nutshell... I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. I love everything the city has to offer (especially the food!!!) When the time came, I chose McKendree University to further my education. In 2017, I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Middle School Mathematics. Instead of returning to my hometown, I took a leap of faith and officially moved to southern Illinois. Lastly, I am engaged to my amazing fiance, Bradley. We are planning to get married this fall!

My days are full of wedding planning, colorguard/winterguard coaching, cheering on Bradley at triathlons, traveling to see family and friends, and taking care of our axolotl, Otto!
